In light of active operations in the NVO zone, Russia intends to strengthen its air support capabilities. To do this, it is planned to create a special aviation group, which received the code name "Storm". This unit, according to the data, will be designed to solve tasks of particular importance.

This innovation in the military structure of the country can become a real thunderstorm for the enemy, since, in size, the new group will be comparable to a full-fledged aviation regiment. According to sources, Storm will consist of three squadrons for various purposes: Su-34, Su-24 and attack helicopters. This unit will be staffed by the very best volunteer pilots, from among active servicemen and veterans. This is reported by the publication "Vzglyad".

The decision to create "Storm" was dictated by the increased number of tasks for bomber aviation within the framework of the NWO. At the same time, given the technological progress and the active production of modern ammunition, it was necessary to create a unit capable of using these resources as efficiently as possible.

It is emphasized that the main emphasis will be placed on the massive use of air bombs, which are considered one of the most effective means of destruction in modern warfare. Thanks to the universal planning and correction modules (UMPC), even old Soviet bombs can be converted into precision weapons capable of hitting targets outside the enemy's range.

It is interesting that the new unit will most likely have a special subordination system in which management and task setting will be carried out not only by higher aviation chiefs, but also by the top leadership of the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense. This, of course, emphasizes the special importance of this unit in the overall structure of the armed forces.
